Among many things, for as long as I can remember- I’ve been in love with striking sunglasses. When I was just 13, I saved up for a pair of Gucci glasses (which I still have) and purchased them at a store in Charleston, SC. The following year, I bought a pair of classic Chanel sunglasses while vacationing in Siesta Key, Florida and then at 15 bought a $350 pair of tortoiseshell Chanel sunglasses in Maui. That is LOTS of allowance and Christmas money I will tell you! :) The list goes on and on. So, of course, I am adoring this new line I picked up on Net-A-Porter called Retrosun. I really do appreciate how Net-A-Porter gives you the background of brands, it’s a fashion history book, magazine, and high-end boutique all in one!
Nicole Miller launched Retrosun in 2005 after discovering a warehouse full of vintage sunglasses. She now sources designer stock from all over the world, selecting the most stylish pieces from such revered names as Dior, Gucci and Valentino. With styles from the ’70s and ’80s – with an exceptional few from the ’90s – each of the label’s retro-chic finds is a timeless classic. – Net-A-Porter

Retrosun Vintage Gucci Sunglasses

Christian Lacroix Optical Glasses
So, the sunglasses are ALL amazing and I would take any pair, but I am particularly smitten with the optical glasses above from Christian Lacroix. So brainy. But, truly, what a clever idea! Like what you see on Net-A-Porter? There is more where that came from! View the entire Retrosun collection online. The vintage Paloma Picasso is to die for!
