So far, I can’t decide if I am more impressed with the inventory or editorial on Net-A-Porter’s new branch off online shopping website for men, Mr. Porter, which launched to the public today after a brief private run with founding members. The new website launched with a stellar (and I will say balanced) designer line-up for the launch. The inventory includes pieces from: Buberry, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, and Paul Smith. And, it has thus far been well curated! The ties are extremely impressive- such beautiful and unique silks. Stunning!
Though some of their pieces and lines are far too edgy for my liking with men’s style and dressing (this for instance), I like what I’m seeing so far and I think it is keeping a great balance! In addition, the editorial is extremely intriguing and I hope they keep up the great mix. Mr. Porter seems to be striving to fill the void and strengthen the quality of menswear shopping and editorial on the internet. Definitely check out “THE JOURNAL” on Mr. Porter.
