Maybe it’s due to the fact that I’m now searching for a grown up version of the feather pens from the Clueless movie that were all the rage when I was eleven. Or, maybe, I am yearning for the sensibility and physical act of writing. Typing, don’t get me wrong, is sometimes fun and usually efficient – but, to actually scratch a clean crisp page and see your words come to life? Magic. And, who knew how many beautiful quills were out there. I am very much inspired. Can you imagine writing with these quills on thick antique paper?

Is there anything more absolutely charming than the thought of writing with a feather dipped in the purest black ink? I think a quill pen would make a truly excellent gift. It’s incredibly unique, beautiful, and something that you have to either learn to use or think about using with every stroke. And, you’d always remember that intriguing person who gave you such a captivating writing instrument. No wonder there are feathers all over the runways- they are simply enchanting. I’ve never written with a quill pen, but after seeing all of these, I assuredly will try very soon!
