The India Hicks Jewelry Collection
Earlier this month, I was flipping through one of my magazines (and I am embarrassed to say I can’t even recall which one) and was thrilled to find that model, designer, and author India Hicks had launched a jewelry collection. I have always been a fan of her style and of course, her shared love of the sea. My excitement escalated when I received an email from the fabulous photographer Colleen Duffley earlier this week announcing India Hicks would be hosting a trunk show with Studio b. the Beach (at Alys Beach) early next month. Currently, three collections make up the India Hicks jewelry line: Initials, Hicks on Hicks, and Island Life. The jewelry collections are comprised of bracelets, earrings, necklaces, cuff links, medallions, and statement rings and a mix of precious metals, sterling silver, and diamonds. The prices range from $125-$3,000 – so there is certainly something for every style and budget!

India Hicks was born in 1967 in London, England to the legendary interior designer, David Hicks and his wife, Pamela Hicks. In fact, many of the pieces in her collections are inspired by her father and his design legacy. The Initials collection is inspired by the initials that launched her father’s branded business and the Hicks on Hicks collection is inspired by her father’s famous hexagon pattern – which became an iconic symbol for the late designer.

I often frequent the South Walton County area of the Florida Panhandle where my family has a summer home. I missed India Hicks on her last visit and was very upset! I was so excited to be included this time as she launches a jewelry trunk show and private reception at Studio b. at the stunning Alys Beach community. It seems quite fitting as India Hicks has a gorgeous Island Life jewelry collection which is inspired by her life in the Bahamas with her family.

According to IndiaHicks.com, Island Life “is the heart and soul of the collections, with organic patterns that reflect (her) sense of design, personal style, and love for island living.” This collection is made up of jewelry inspired by starfish, intricate fish scales, and other marine life – it is absolutely my favorite and I can’t wait to see it fittingly unveiled at the beach!
