The Aspen Emporium and Flying Circus

I stumbled upon The Aspen Emporium and Flying Circus, a new store in Aspen, on my friend’s 30th birthday trip. It’s an adorable cottage filled with natural dyed scarves, handmade pottery, chocolates, flowers, artwork, local grown produce, coffee, and fresh food. It was such an adorable shop and the owners were so friendly!  The shop supports local artists, craftsmen, and farmers – so it was a great spot to find one-of-a-kind gifts and treats while in Aspen.

The day of my visit, there was a guitarist at the store was providing entertainment for the opening party.  As, I was wearing a leopard hat, the guitarist stopped mid-song and started to play Leopard-Skin Pill Box Hat by Bob Dylan.  Though I was immediately blushing – it was a memorable moment and certainly added to the character of the shop! I will definitely be visiting again on my next trip.
