I’m going to begin by saying how much I love skirts with a bit of pouf. And, mini skirts with a pouf? Even better.
They are incredibly flattering. I found a gorgeous black satin mini-skirt at Neiman Marcus this past winter by Elizabeth and James. It has a few layers of tulle underneath and when worn with high heels, it ignites the most stunning proportions ever. Long legs with a poufy skirt? Dreamy.
Taking this look into summer, I love the idea of this elegantly cut navy top with a beautiful blush pink skirt with a bit of flair from Miu Miu. When paired with these gorgeous textured ACNE boots or even the Pierre Hardy sky-high navy platform heels, you are sure to gather the onlookers.
It’s a fun season to play with texture: from turquoise earrings, to charcoal gray nails, and a croc clutch from Miu Miu – you really can’t go wrong. And, as for your warm-up gear Madame Ballerina? I’d suggest the fabulous sweater from Zoe Karssan. In fact, I’d even pair it with the Miu Miu skirt for a chilly night. After all, a bit of high and low is everything when it comes to modern manners.
