In honor of The Rolling Stones 50 Year Anniversary, I wanted to focus a special post on Mick Jagger and his incredible style with images from his relationships and marriages to fashion icons Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall.
The Rolling Stones went on the road for the first time in 1962 and on stage for the first time that year on July 12th at the Marquee Club in London. During their 50 years as a group, the Stones have performed live in front of more people than any band in history.
I can’t wait for the release of this coffee table tome: “The Rolling Stones 50″ by Mick Jagger. This book is curated, introduced, narrated, and authorized by the band themselves. It features over 1,000 illustrations and “some of the most rare and interesting Stones memorabilia in existence: international posters, draft record cover art, bubblegum cards, jigsaws and other previously unpublished treasures specifically photographed for this volume.”
In the meantime, I’m also going to be purchasing “Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger” this week by Christopher Andersen. This biography was released this month. “Based on interviews with friends, family members, fellow music legends, and industry indsiders – as well as wives and legions of lovers- MICK sheds new light on a man who’s very name defines an era.”
My second hope? That the Stones go on tour later this year. I am dying to see them in concert!
