Hayden Zig Zag Rug from Pottery Barn

I have a dog that likes to carry her chicken stew dinner bowls onto the living room rug.  Yes, it is my fault that I’ve allowed this behavior, but it’s ever-present nonetheless.  Therefore, it makes more sense for me have a “nice” rug rather than a future family heirloom.  One would think, at this mid-range pricing, I would have been buying rugs from Pottery Barn for years, but their styles have been far too traditional for me in the past.  Their past collections didn’t seem to take any risks at all.  Yes, I realize the company is traditional to begin with, but even a classic modern pattern in understated colors wasn’t something that they’d seem to venture into before.

Awning Stripe Rug from Pottery Barn

In the summer catalog, I was so excited to see a chevron print, a scroll tile, a zebra rug, and a classic black and white stripe!  This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for.  The Chevron print is perfect for under my kitchen table and I’d love to try the black and white stripe in my home office.  The price points are great, the quality excellent, and I love that for Pottery Barn – the styles seem to be “going out on a limb” per say.  Anyways, these are three of my new favorites and I’ll certainly be adding at least one of them to my home decor.  And, at $499 for an 8 x 10, I don’t have to cry too much over spilled chicken stew.
